Chritmas tree

Will you have a Christmas tree this year? I haven't had one for 2 years now, not a real one at least...
2 years ago... I don't even remember anymore why I didn't buy and decorate a tree :P
The thing is that I don't feel the need to kill a tree to feel that I respect and follow tradition anymore. It's morbid! Its like stabbing a living thing in your living room, decorate it and just watch how the life slips away from its body... horrible!!!
No, I will not cut any tree just for tradition! You can use decorations without a tree as well.
How about being creative about it?!
What do you think of the ones below? They are from here.

Im in love!!!!!!!!

I saw some pictures on a blog (between the many - many ones I follow) and it had a link to the owner of the photo. Well, I followed the link (natural curiosity, I guess :P and yeah I know curiosity killed the cat) and I found a looooot more photos like the one I admired on the blog.
Some of them even more beautiful then the one chosen to be shown on this certain blog (my opinion, dont hang me for it).

You people make me jealous! You have time to do exactly what you like, when you like to, how you like to and and where you like to. Envious, yes :P

Journals

Ok, I usually don't do free advertising, but these ones are just extra nice.

Julie Boyles makes some very nice and dare I say intimate journals. Just take a look and u'll get convinced.
These are just gorgeous! I'd love to have a journal like this.
I have a collection of journals (most of them still clean :D), boxes, bead jewels, dyi patterns... etc .
Yes, I know, I have a lot of obsession (and you don't know half of it :P), but hey! I'm a woman, I'm allowed to :D

I need to move to a decent city...

I don't think I've mentioned this before, but I am living in a capital city that is just as dangerous as New York, just not as interesting.
I grew up in a nice, quiet, small city up in the mountains and I always swear that I'll never ever more here. I just knew I would hate it here... YES, HATE! I don't agree with the usage of this word (aka "hate") because its a word with high load of negative feelings, but this is one of the very few things that I really do hate and I cant deny it... just cant!
I moved here by necessity a few years ago (and i'm not liking it ever since)because my love was here and because I was presented with a nice work opportunity here... but even if my love is worth every single moment of struggle, the work isn't (it turned out after some time that the work is not that terrific then I imagined, but hey! thats life...).
So... I need to move... first in a better neighborhood (although this one should be a nice one also... but "should" is the keyword here) and then (as soon as I decide where next) to a smaller and quieter city.

Cant wait :)

Cooking... and maybe a new blog?

Hey there,

I was thinking this morning about the blog and about not having enough time to do everything I want and need to do... but then, this is the curse of modern world. Im not such a modern girl in this way.

I would like to go to work and still have some time and energy to do stuff that have no connection with the usual job I do. Like our parents did when we were growing up. They started word at 6 or 7 and finished at 3-4 PM. From 3-4 PM you still get to do a lot of other things, the day is still young at that hour :)

But no, today we start work at 8/9/10 max and we get out in the evening, when all you get to do is go home, eat something (most of the time you don't even get to eat something all day long), shower and go to sleep so that in the morning you can start all over again. God, this is just pathetic! Really! This wasn't the life I was dreaming about when I was little :(

I'm guessing your all saying now that if I don't like it then I need to change my job... well, gladly, but I actually like the job I'm doing (most parts of it, there are always some parts you just need to do, but don't like it) and most part of the people I'm working with, but the operational part of most bigger companies is just disappointing. A lot of unnecessary tasks that do nothing to help the job, just slows it down. That part is just frustrating! mrrr...

Well and so, the only hobby of mine that actually do practice regularly is cooking. I'm not a great cook, I just like to eat and Mom made me practice a lot when I was younger, so it kind of grow on me. The saddest part is that I am cooking only because I have to because I lack time. If I want to eat something good then I need to cook it, so...
But it is a process that I love doing, whenever I have time and I'm hungry :) as I cook better when I'm hungry :)
My cooking is not based on recipes, I never get to do it exactly as in the recipe, I always "need" to modify it at least a bit :) It is also mostly based on what is in the fridge at that moment or what can I buy from the market close to me quickly.

The conclusion is that I do this a lot (a girls got to eat, doesn't she) and since everyone seems to be very please with my cooking (by bf is an absolute fan) and since I did gather a LOT of recipes along the years, I am thinking of possibly sharing some recipes with you also by making a separate blog for this.
This is still in project faze, so don't expect it tomorrow, but what do you think? Is this a good idea or the blog word is already over saturated with cooking related blogs?

hmm....

two true singers...

Jewel and Faye Wong are two of my very short list of favorite singers. Why? They actually feel the song when they are singing them.

U cant be unimpressed by some of their songs if u have at least a bit of sensitivity in u!

Origami

I recently rediscovered Origami. Loved it while I was younger, but I kind off forgot it along the way.
Inspiration was provided my miss Mila and her blog Loveology which I read and follow with a lot of pleasure :) I saw some very nice origami birds in some of her posts that caught my attention and I would try to do some myself. Said and done :D
Google searched "Origami bird" and found a few patterns.
The first one was a bird (that was what I was looking for in the first place of course) and the following video was rather helpfull:

Origami Flapping Bird - Funny bloopers R us

Then I thought I should move on to something else... like flowers... more specifically a Lilly :)

Origami Lilly - Click here for funny video clips

Both of my projects turned out to be succesfull (so I haven't lost my touch :D)
I also found a blog fuuuuuuul of Origami patterns.
The blog is called Origami Instructions , check it out if Ur interested in making more of these everlasting decorations. Ok, maybe not everlasting, but long lasting :) I still have a rose that I made when I was 12-13 or so :)

I was thinking of making a bouquet of paper flowers... wouldnt that be nice? and U dont even need to put water on them or change them :D aint than convenient!

New face ;)

I've changed the appearance of my blog today, the combination of grey and purple that I had before was quite nice, but not nice enouth. I hope you like the results ;)

If u need a little help with ur blog, take a look at the links below.

The banner was made with Puresilva and the background is from HotBliggityBlog.com. They say that "the best free blogger backgrounds site on the entire interwebular planet. No exaggeration. " and I tend to agree with them :)

You can also find some very clear explanations on how to change ur background picture from Isaac Yassar, to whom I need to thank again for the help.

Knitting...

Its hot as hell outside and I am thinking of knitted stuff, aint that ironic? :)

I stumbled into a few nice links on the net which I would like to share with you and maybe if I write them down I will actually remember them for the future :P

First is Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine.
I found a few very nice pics in the gallery, patterns that can be downloaded for free , a forum and knitting products. In conlusion, its worth visiting and worth remembering ;)

Then, another interesting one is Dill Buttons
Werent you fascinted when you were little by all those mayestically elaborated buttons (not those plain plastic ones they sale nowdays in shops) that your mother or grandma had on their blouses? My mother had a big box of those. They were like a treasure box for me. Well, I found two catalogs here fuuuuulll with buttons the way I like them. If you like them also, check the link out :)

Germans will always remain germans.. I hope :D
They always were fabulous designers. RICO DESIGN is a perfect example to this.
Here are some pics to convince you of that :

Untill next time guys!

Hand made stuff and the modern world

Modern world doesnt apreciate real art anymore... something beautifull that was created not necessarily for the practical side of that object, but for the beauty of it.
And Im not talking about painting or sculptures (some of those are really not understandable for some people, including myself), but for example hand made stuff.
Beeding, knitting, sawing, handcrafted stuff, goblens etc etc.
Women are not willing to learn these anymore it reminds them of the time when that was all that women did (besides making and raising kids). Im guessing that women are just sick of that image and they reject from starters anything that reminds them of the old times.
But things have changed!!!
WE dont need to do it because its mandatory and you "have to do it", but because you "can do it" and the result can be preety rewarding ;)
Imagination and patience is all you need to do it :)

I love DIY stuff! First because you can make what you want(you just have to put your mind to it) and second because what you make is more than surely unique. You're not gonna see a woman going on the street with the same pair of earings or bracelet that you made for yourself.
And third, because man are fascinated by a woman that haven't forgotten to be feminin and they can't seem to figure out how you can make from a couple of beeds and some accesories the perfect earings that matches your dress and looks beautifull on you. :)
Im not refering here to some pathetic excuses for a man, who think that women exist to serve them and to multiply their "seeds" (God! I hope they die out), Im talking here of the men that stop beeing hipocrites and admit that not only leather is atractive and that lace (for example) can be just as sexy as hell :P But as the below picture shows, the best combination is leather and lace ;)

You can find a lot of people blogging about handmade stuff, this is a link for example.

Whats your hobby?

We all have hobbies, at least one, don't we?

I read once, that : << There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness." >>
I partly agree with this and partly not... it depends on the person and about how obsessive you are about that hobby.

Some people do it to relax, others to create, others to disconnect themselves from the outer world, but the main purpose of having a hobby is to do something that will make you happy.
But then, people are greedy by nature. When something makes you feel good, of course, you will want more and more and at a certain point you will become obsessed with the thing that fills you with happiness, proud, passion, etc.
Hobbies are also called passions(not by chance, I'm guessing) and as passion can become obsession, the same can happen with a hobby.

When you start neglecting your friends, family, health, job, yourself or anything else that should normally be important to you, when instead of dealing with your problems you search for refuge in a hobby... then you need to rethink your priorities. You need to stop when you walked through the fine line between hobby and madness.

When I think of the above mentioned quote, I always remember famous artists, that were considered obsessed, mad, mentally ill at the time, but today they are considered genius artists. Just think of Vincent van Gogh or Picasso as examples.
Their hobby was their torture.

As long as we don't exaggerate, hobbies are good thing, aren't they :)
So... what's your hobby?

Savage Garden Hold Me quote

More than angry words I hate this silence
It's getting so loud
Well I want to scream
But bitterness has silenced these emotions
It's getting hard to breathe
So tell me isn't happiness
Worth more than a gold diamond ring?
I'm willing to do anything
To calm the storm in my heart
I've never been the praying kind
But lately I've been down upon my knees
Not looking for a miracle
Just a reason to believe

Status of a friend

I am the one who tells you to run free,
Run through the fields of your fantasy,
Run like a beast that haven't been tamed,
Just like a wild that haven't been named.

(I don't know who wrote it but I like it)

Quote About Aging

Aging is a matter of mind. If you don't mind it doesn't matter.

vulgar versus sensual...

I was searching on google a pic ... a boudoir kind of room.Since I had no success with the word "boudoir", I tried "sensual", but all I got was naked girls and perv pics...People!!! Don't you know the difference between these two anymore?

Pity....

There is such a difference....

A sensual person can make your life enjoyable...
A vulgar one can make your life ... well, that may depend on each persons needs and wishes, but vulgarity is not a desirable atitude.

"Sensuality is, in essence, how in tune you are with your senses. Do you notice smells, textures, sounds? How sensual you are plays a key role in both your sex life and your overall ability to derive pleasure from life."

What troubles a modern woman? "Machos"

That morons still exist !
Will all the education in the world, some man (well rather immature kids, but anyway) still believe that a woman likes to hear (yelled out in the street with at least 10-15 people around - It's no fun for them if no one hears their "masculine shout") stuff like: "OMG! what an ass! perfect for slapping!" or "I would sooo eat an ice cream, will you give me yours to lick?"(situation: me eating an ice cream).
Come on ! How pathetic is that?
NO ! A woman does not like to hear stuff like that!
It will not make you look more masculine, maybe she will just have an incontestable proof that you're absolutely retarded!
Whats worst?
When these "masculine" men get angry when you tell them to bug off, or to buy their own ice cream and leave yours alone... and then you find yourself splashed from head to toe with a bucket of water with tens of persons around that do nothing ... what to do? Just walk away, theres nothing you can do (besides ripping their head off and getting to prison because of some dumbasses) ... humiliating ...
yepp, I live in the stone age...

Links

Im an internet addict... yes-yes, I admit it :)
I have so many links saved on my work computer and at home, that it would take me at least a day to open all of them and check them.
Some of them are usefull, some of them are fun, some of them are ... well there are a lot of them for a lot of reasons :)

You will find my favorit links listed on the blog, hope you will find them usefull or at least interesting :) enjoy !

Back :)

Time is relative my dears, so after a longer "soon" then I was speculating I'm ready to start typing for me and for you.
I could never keep a journal/blog for a longer perioud of time. I get bored easily, or forget to write, or don't have something to write after a while about one single thing.
So... I decided to write about a bigger topic.
Something that is so abstract that noone can ever finish it.
The general theme is -> a womens privat place. Her room, her mind, her thoughts.
Who can ever completely finish this topic? :)

Soon...

I deleted all the previous post as they were random thoughts with no connection between them... it just had a chaotic feeling.
Soon I'll be back ... with new ideas and a main theme for the blog ;)
